I actually really like the abstract nature of this shot - it almost looks like stained glass or impressionistic art (if I have my art terms proper)

Yep, you do! I’ve been getting a lot of shots that look like paintings in the background due to my new lens and it’s huge aperture. It’s amazing, I love it. (The cool term for it these days is “bokeh”.)
